Developing A Growth Strategy For Your Blog
Monica O’Brien from Twenty Set has written a guest post on Problogger about developing A Personalized, Comprehensive Growth Strategy For Your Blog.
To begin with she talks about the three classifications of blogs:
- The Small Fry / Newbie - Blogs that are new or in the early stages of development
- The Established / Mid-Sized Blog - Blogs that have good content and are gaining readers
- And The Major Player - The top 3 to 5 blogs in a niche
Monica goes on to describe each in detail, helping you to determine your blog’s classification and then finishes up the post by discussing the steps you can take to get your blog to the next level.
I agree with Chris Auman’s comment that the post could really be summed up with these 4 points (taken from Chris’ comment)…
- Write great content
- Participate and comment on other’s sites
- Link to others to let them know you exist
- Guest post and find other creative ways to get the word out about your blog
This is a great post and I highly recommend you take the time to read it.
