I love affiliate marketing. Not only is it one of the easiest ways for someone new to internet marketing to make money online quickly, it’s also one of the most lucrative once you really understand what affiliate marketing is all about. There are literally tens of thousands of people worldwide who are making money online, right this minute, promoting other people’s products. And you can join them.

Some of the key benefits include:

• There are no products to stock
• You don’t have to worry about product delivery, shipment, or billing
• There are no customer service issues
• No employees to manage
• No 1-800 numbers to pay for
• No Merchant Account required

…and the list goes on.

So just what is Affiliate Marketing?

I could go into grand detail here, but honestly you can find a comprehensive explanation of what affiliate marketing is over at Wikipedia. It’s full of interesting information, including the history of affiliate marketing and some of the current issues. Of course, if you don’t have the time to read all that, then here’s the short version.

Businesses need to move products and services to make money. Affiliate Marketers help businesses do just that by helping them find customers. In return, the business rewards the affiliate with a small commission. It’s win win win. The customer gets what they want, the business makes a sale, and the affiliate earns a commission.

Basically an Affiliate Marketers offer opinions, suggestions, critiques, and reviews on products and services. And in return is rewarded for his or her effort.

I hope this gives you an idea why I believe that affiliate marketing is the best way for someone to get started making money online.
