Since I don’t update here very often, although that may change soon, I’ve just spent the last several minutes reading through some of the comment spam I have received in the last few weeks. Some of the things that these bots post is just plain ridiculous.

I love the fact that they are telling me that some of my past tweets have changed their life. That, in and of itself is just too funny.

Note to Comment Spammers:

If my tweets have changed your life in any way, you really really need to get one.

A life that is.

Since I really didn’t like the theme I made a couple of months ago, I went ahead and created this one. I like it much better. Besides, the code is much much cleaner….sortof.

There comes a time in every blog’s life when it’s time to change the blog theme.  For me that can happen every few days, depending on the site, but this one has had the same blog theme for well over a year.

That’s a record for me.  One that I didn’t mean to set.  Mostly, it just stayed this way due to the fact that I’ve been neglecting this site for quite some time.

So yesterday when I was piddling around with nothing really to do other than my normal daily tasks, I decided I’d whip up a new theme for this site.  Because I don’t usually create themes that require massive graphics or a lot of time creating them, I was able to make this theme in a couple of hours.

Since I developed it so quickly, there are probably things that need to be tweaked, so if you see anything that screams “ERROR” or “WEIRD” to you, I’d appreciate it if you would leave a comment on this post or send me an email via the contact form.

Other than that, it’s a pretty simple theme that just splits off the latest post, showing it first, and then the excerpts of the rest.

What do you think of it?

This commercial makes me wonder what the government of Pennsylvania is thinking.  This is nothing more than a thinly veiled threat.  If I lived in the state of Pennsylvania, I would be very, very pissed off that they made this commercial.

I’ve been playing with Windows Live Writer for the last couple of days, and I have to say…

I like it.

Which is, quite honestly, highly unusual for me when it comes to an external blog application.  I have tried many different programs to help me organize and write for my many sites, and I always stop using them after a couple of days.

But I have to admit that Windows Live Writer is a decent application.  It’s easy to use and has made my normal blogging nightmare less stressful. 

If you haven’t tried it yet, I’d recommend giving it a shot.
